Therapy is meant to be a place of Learning and Healing, not a source of stress. I specialize in person-based therapy and believe, that every session should be tailored to the individual's needs and personality. I believe in making a comfortable and safe environment for clients to express themselves and enjoy utilizing games and activities to build a stronger relationship with them.

LPC-A
Welcome! I am passionate about helping clients experience their emotions, build a positive view of self, and function effectively in their daily lives. I work with clients to help them find acceptance, challenge their beliefs, and discover safety in connecting with themselves and others.
I employ a variety of counseling modalities to best meet your needs and provide care that is culturally sensitive and trauma-informed. Some of my favorite counseling modalities to integrate are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Somatic Techniques. Therapy with me might involve developing tools to help you meet your goals, emotional processing of past or current experiences, examining patterns that act as barriers to your
goals, or discussing your strengths; it might involve all of these components or a unique mixture that best fits your needs and can change over time.
I believe in collaborating with the client at every step of the therapeutic process and being transparent. I do this by communicating why I believe a skill/technique might be beneficial to you, how to use it, and what to expect from using it. Additionally, I encourage you to speak honestly about your preferences and opinions, as it largely benefits your experience in therapy. I want individuals new to therapy and those with experience in therapy to feel safe, supported, and understood.
I received my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University and my B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University. As I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, I am under the supervision of Dr. Crystal Hughes, LPC-S.

LMFT- Intern
Hello, I am a Marriage and Family Therapist-Intern for Central Texas Therapy Associates. I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas A&M University-Central Texas, with plans to graduate in the summer of 2026. I am originally from Ohio, where I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University.

You might be wondering—what’s the difference between a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)? While both provide counseling and therapy, the main difference lies in perspective. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I’m trained to take a systemic approach, which means I view problems not just within the individual, but within the relationships and environments that surround them. I look for
patterns, dynamics, and outside stressors that might be contributing to distress. Whenever possible, I encourage including multiple family members or significant relationships such as work partnerships, coaches, and teachers to come to therapy; as this allows me to observe real interactions and work toward healthier, more supportive dynamics.
So why family therapy? Growing up in a divorced and blended family, I experienced firsthand the complexity of relationships and how deeply they shape who we are. Between navigating family transitions and playing team sports, I learned early on that we don’t exist in isolation—our connections profoundly impact our growth, resilience, and well-being. Those experiences inspired me to help others strengthen their relationships and find healing within their family systems.
I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their challenges, build understanding, and develop practical skills to foster lasting change. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, my goal is to help each person feel seen, supported, and empowered in their journey toward connection and self-discovery.
